Client – Partnered with a leading high-tech organisation in the UK.

 

Role – We are seeking an experienced ERP Planning and Scheduling Optimization Specialist to support the implementation of multiple ERP platforms, with a particular focus on IFS Applications. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing planning and scheduling processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering improvements in efficiency and productivity. This role requires strong communication skills and demonstrated experience with IFS or similar ERP solutions, particularly in planning, scheduling, and optimization processes.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the optimisation of planning and scheduling processes within the IFS ERP platform, ensuring that business operations are streamlined and efficient.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify pain points, and design solutions that meet operational needs.
  • Customise IFS modules to improve planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with business processes and programme objectives.
  • Analyze existing planning and scheduling workflows, identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
  • Design and implement optimised planning and scheduling strategies using IFS tools, ensuring they are scalable and adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Develop and document best practices and standardized procedures for planning and scheduling across the organisation.
  • Configure and customise IFS Applications to meet specific planning and scheduling requirements, ensuring integration with other ERP modules.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure that planning and scheduling configurations are implemented effectively, with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Test, validate, and troubleshoot planning and scheduling solutions, ensuring they are fit for purpose and align with business expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, SMEs, and technical teams to ensure alignment on planning and scheduling goals within the ERP programme.
  • Communicate complex planning and scheduling solutions clearly to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring understanding and buy-in.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on IFS planning and scheduling functionalities, providing guidance and recommendations throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IFS planning and scheduling modules, ensuring they are prepared to use new tools and processes.
  • Support the change management process, helping stakeholders adapt to new planning and scheduling systems and addressing concerns related to the transition.
  • Develop user guides, training materials, and documentation to ensure smooth adoption and ongoing use of optimised planning and scheduling solutions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of planning and scheduling optimisations, reporting progress to the Programme Director and senior leadership.
  • Ensure that governance frameworks are adhered to in relation to planning and scheduling processes, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the programme.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to planning and scheduling, ensuring that any issues are addressed proactively.



Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in IFS Applications or similar ERP platforms, with a focus on planning and scheduling optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of planning, scheduling, and resource allocation processes within large-scale ERP implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse, design, and implement optimised planning and scheduling processes in line with business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with business leaders, SMEs, and technical teams.
  • Experience in configuring and customising ERP modules to meet planning and scheduling requirements.
  • A well-spoken, confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with a strong focus on delivering value through optimised planning and scheduling processes.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Salary –
up to £850 GBP per day (DOE, Outside IR35)

 

Location – Southwest England, UK | Hybrid - 2 days per week on site
