Role – We are seeking a senior SAP PP-PI Functional Expert to support large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes within the life sciences and manufacturing domain. This role is focused on production planning, capacity planning, and process manufacturing, working across complex, multi-site manufacturing landscapes.
You will play a key role in designing, configuring, and optimising SAP PP-PI solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders, planners, and global delivery teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing production planning solutions.

You will play a key role in designing, configuring, and optimising SAP PP-PI solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders, planners, and global delivery teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing production planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support SAP PP-PI implementations and rollouts, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices and regulated industry requirements.
- Design, configure, and optimise SAP PP-PI processes across Process, Repetitive, and Discrete Manufacturing environments.
- Drive capacity planning and production scheduling, leveraging advanced SAP PP and integrated planning capabilities.
- Design and support batch management processes including Batch Determination, Batch Search Strategy, and Batch Derivation.
- Integrate SAP PP-PI with related modules such as PP/DS, APO, IBP, QM, PM, WM/EWM, SD, and external planning or MES systems.
- Lead or contribute to interface and integration initiatives, ensuring robust and reliable data flows between SAP and external systems.
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and drive continuous improvement in production planning and execution.
- Support multi-site manufacturing operations, resolving plant- or site-specific planning and execution issues.
- Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- 15+ years of hands-on experience delivering SAP PP-PI implementations and rollouts, ideally within process industries or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Deep expertise in capacity planning and production scheduling using SAP PP and integrated planning tools.
- Strong knowledge of SAP batch management and related configuration.
- Proven experience integrating SAP PP-PI with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Hands-on experience with interfaces and integrations, including troubleshooting and monitoring.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across global teams and time zones.
