The Opportunity:
We’re supporting a well-established organization in the energy/utilities sector as they look to add a personable and proactive Service Desk Technician to their IT support team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the go-to support person, thrives in a visible, people-facing role, and has strong foundational IT support skills.

Location: Midlands, TX
Contract-to-Hire: 3-6 month initial contract before becoming a full-time position

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support for a mix of office and field users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and access issues (e.g., MFA, Exchange, mobile devices, etc.).
  • Manage tickets via FreshService (or similar platform).
  • Assist with device reimaging and endpoint support via Microsoft Intune.
  • Perform routine floor walks and provide hands-on, personable tech support.
  • Occasional travel (biweekly/monthly) to a nearby satellite office (company vehicle provided after conversion).

Technical Environment:
  • Microsoft Intune & Endpoint Manager
  • Office 365, Exchange, MFA, SSO
  • Azure Active Directory (Group-based access)
  • FreshService (or comparable ticketing platform)
  • Windows 10/11 devices
  • Mobile device configuration

What We’re Looking For:
  • 2–5 years in a service desk, help desk, or desktop support role.
  • Strong communication skills and an approachable, customer-service mindset.
  • Confident supporting field users and working in a hands-on environment.
  • Technically solid with Microsoft tools, but more importantly — a people person.
