Our client is hiring a Workday HR Systems Architect to own the Workday HCM architecture strategy and lead the design of a scalable global HR platform. This role is focused on architecting Workday to replace and consolidate multiple HR systems, with key scope across the USA and India.
Key responsibilities (Workday architecture focus)
- Own the end-to-end Workday HCM architecture across global regions (USA and India focus)
- Define the target-state Workday design for Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Absence, and Time Tracking
- Drive Workday tenant architecture decisions across configuration approach, security model, business process design, and governance
- Design the Workday data model, reporting approach, and cross-module process flows to support global scalability
- Lead integration architecture into and out of Workday using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services
- Produce architecture artefacts: target architecture, blueprints, standards, and multi-phase roadmap
- Act as senior SME, advising stakeholders on Workday capabilities, best practice, and design trade-offs
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams through build, test, cutover, and hypercare
- 8+ years HRIS / HR technology, with 5+ years as a Workday Architect or Solution Architect
- Proven delivery of Workday architecture on global or multi-country programmes
- Strong Workday HCM functional depth across Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking
- Strong integration architecture experience (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
- Workday certifications (Workday Pro, Architect)
- Experience consolidating other HR platforms into Workday (ServiceNow HR, SAP HR, Oracle HCM)
- Contract: $110 to $140 per hour (W2 or C2C)
- Permanent: $190,000 to $220,000 plus bonus and benefits
