Workday Prism Architect

BH-31530
  • $160000 to $190000 Per: annum
  • Remote work, ,
  • Permanent
About the company
A fast-growing healthcare organization is investing heavily in enterprise analytics after a recent big-bang Workday go-live. Workday Prism Analytics is already live and central to how leaders make decisions across Finance, Research, Grants, Supply Chain, and HR. They are now building long-term internal ownership and are looking for a Prism leader who can take what is in place, strengthen it, and elevate it into a best-in-class analytics platform.
Why join
  • Permanent role with a long-term roadmap and real ownership, not a short-term clean-up
  • Remote position with a highly collaborative East Coast team (interviews limited to East Coast based candidates)
  • Prism is already live and high-visibility, meaning your work will have immediate impact
  • Opportunity to shape governance, standards, and strategy across enterprise reporting
  • Partner closely with senior Workday and platform leadership as the go-to Prism architect
The role
As the Workday Prism Architect, you will provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for Prism Analytics in a complex enterprise Workday environment. You will stabilize, validate, and optimize the existing Prism architecture, close reporting gaps post go-live, and ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and aligned with Workday best practices. This is ideal for someone who has inherited a system integrator built Prism solution and knows how to assess data models, correct course, and rebuild confidence in analytics.
Key responsibilities
Prism architecture and data modelling
  • Own end-to-end Prism architecture across ingestion, transformation, modelling, and security
  • Assess the current Prism data models, identify design gaps, inefficiencies, and technical debt
  • Redesign or optimise Prism models to improve performance, scalability, and reporting usability
  • Establish standards, reusable patterns, and best practices for Prism development and enhancement
Reporting and analytics enablement
  • Partner with Finance, Research, Grants, HR, and Supply Chain stakeholders to address post go-live reporting gaps
  • Enable enterprise reporting use cases that combine Workday and non-Workday data sources
  • Collaborate with Workday Reporting, Adaptive Planning, and downstream analytics teams to align on a cohesive reporting strategy
  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and audit readiness for Prism driven outputs
Post go-live stabilisation and transition
  • Provide technical leadership as the organisation transitions from system integrator support to internal ownership
  • Troubleshoot complex Prism issues including data latency, transformation logic, and performance concerns
  • Partner with Integration and Extend teams to ensure reliable data pipelines and data quality into Prism
Required experience
  • 7+ years in enterprise reporting, analytics, or data architecture, including significant hands-on Workday Prism experience
  • Proven track record designing, supporting, stabilising, or remediating Prism in a post implementation environment
  • Strong understanding of Workday data models across Financials, HCM, Payroll, Supply Chain, and or Grants
  • Experience operating in complex, highly regulated environments such as healthcare, research, or higher education
  • Ability to diagnose architecture issues introduced during implementation and recommend scalable, pragmatic solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred experience
  • Experience inheriting Prism implementations delivered by large system integrators
  • Hands-on experience with Adaptive Planning data integration and reporting
  • Familiarity with Workday Extend and Workday integration frameworks
  • Background supporting grants management, research finance, or academic medical centres
  • Experience contributing to enterprise reporting transformations or ERP modernisation initiatives
